A fantastic day out at the museum, spread over two sites. It is a shame you can’t look inside some of the trains in the sheds, you are stuck walking around them, but the second building allows you to get very hands on and was great fun. I really enjoyed my afternoon here and the three hours flew by. I’d highly recommend a visit.

This is a large museum containing a number of floors with various exhibits on them. I was somewhat disappointed to learn that the railway part was closed off and then slightly confused by the content.....The museum is advertised as a technology museum but all I seem to recall seeing was a lot of historic exhibits from the air and sea wars? I was expecting this to be a more modern take on technology but was surprised to see so many 'non tech' exhibits which for me as a fan of WW2 history wasn't so much an issue but I had booked this visit for my friend who is more into his technology so was left somewhat deflated.
On the plus side, the museum is big and does have something for everyone and was really quite cheap considering the size of it.

So much to see in this museum! You could spend hours and hours wandering the exhibits. Highly recommend the wonderful railroad section. Coffee shop, gift shop, toilets, and lockers all on site.

Unfortunately lots of exhibits and areas were closed, the majority of video multimedia presentations were out of order. None of this mentioned before taking our cold hard euros. Significant number of exhibit descriptions in German only. Could be good, but visit today disappointing.

Incredible, incredible, incredible museum! Very easy to get lost in its multiple floors, sections and parts. A must for anyone even remotely interested in museums.

Very nice and cheap museum. There is a lift in airplanes/ships section. I suggest to start from the upper floor since you will walk for a long time (museum is large) and it’s easier to go down for next exhibition.

Several different sections of the museum were closed for construction works but this information was not well communicated. I would estimate the average age of visitors to be quite young. While everyone seemed well-behaved, the noise did carry and affected my visit. Finally,
I found the exhibits themselves lackluster. Too much focus on interactivity at the expense of a lack of detail. All around not worth the 8 euro expense.

The displays were fine. Nothing too spectaculair, but not bad. The museum it self on the other hand was unorganised and very complicated. Because of corona a lot of the interactive things you could normally do were out of order. Which I perfectly understand but maybe get something to replace it. For kids this is a terribly boring museum. They also have zero respect for people with a handicap.

Buonasera a tutti!

There is a small cafe directly in the restaurant. They offer snacks, hot and soft drinks as well as sweets.

Hi there, do you think 5 year olds would find this interesting and interactive or should we wait until they are older? Thank you!

How long did you end up spending there?
My son and husband are big technology geeks so it is helpful to know how long i should really plan.
Thanks.
