About
A harbored barge functions as a floating swimming pool right in the tradition of old riverside openair baths. Here you have an unique panoramic view of the river Spree, the Oberbaumbrücke and Berlin’s iconic TV tower. Besides bathing, the beach area around the Badeschiff has become an urban recreational area. On top of that beach parties and music events take place on a regular basis. The Badeschiff has become a focal point of urban culture and entertainment for many Berliners at any time of the day.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

You've gotta know before that you don't really go to swim, but just to chill..mostly on the deckchairs as it's pretty crowded. but sweet spot

Nice place. But we bought very expensive and very poor drinks. A Wasp flew in one of the drinks and the woman behind the bar took it up and served the drink. That is not only disgusting but also dangerous.

Visited the place on a hot summer day on 01/08/20 with my two teenagers. The urban look of the place was cool. However, there was a queue to get in the pool, which was a shame. The place is smaller than it looks in the pictures. In fact, there is not much sand and the chairs on the bridge are only for those with season tickets. The worst experience, however, was the woman standing at the bar. She was really rude, barely bothered to sell to me, pretended she did not understand my English and when I returned the towels she complained that there was sand in them. Yes, there is beach sand where we sit, so what had she expected?
Due to the poor service, I can unfortunately only give one star.

Got the chance to experience it during the Lululemon Sweatfestival. You have an absolutely breathtaking view on the Spree river. The pool is nice for taking some laps. They have a nice bar there and you can just chill and relax in some deckchairs.

Some friends and I attempted to visit on Saturday 24th August. There were 6 of us, all male, all very sober, all well behaved and all lookimg forward to visiting a fairly unique venue. From about 100 metres away a bouncer came to greet us with a "No English. No girls, for families, bye bye!". We then watched a group of 8 German lads drinking beers get let in. Why? Obviously this clown of a bouncer is bigoted and anti-English. The fact we aren't even English appears irrelevant. Really not good enough from somewhere that promotes itself like you do. Please note that in 3 days in Berlin we did not receive this reception from anyone or anywhere else. Cafes, bars, restaurants, clubs were all welcoming except you and your moronic door staff.

My friends and are came from UK to Berlin for a bachelor party. We wanted to rest by the pool before going out at night in fascinating Berlin. This place ruined our plans when we got rudely blocked from entering this place for no reasonable reason. Apparently, 6 men is too many men with no women. We should have in our group at least 1 women for every 2 men. I want to hightlight that nobody was drunk, innappropriately dressed, or being loud. We were 6 normal guys chatting and trying to enjoy a bit of Sun as we don't see much of it in UK. This behaviour is disgraceful and unacceptable, and I am very disappointed at the treatment we received. I don't recommend the place at all.

Racist and very impolite teenager pool staff. Inexperienced children who surely try to get money in summer and do not mind the customer. They do not know how to treat children. A pity that the place is worth it and another part of the staff does know how to treat the client.

While sitting next to the bar on a sunny crowded day at approx. 2 p.m. a very unpleasant incident occured. One of the members of the staff (either that or a well-known aquaintance of the bartenders on duty) was hanging around the bar talking to the bartender, when one of the guards came to him, had a very short quarrel and started chocking him. The fight lasted a few minutes while everybody around them watched in awe. It happened in front of young children in the middle of the day; I was a couple of feet away and my friend got accidentally hit by one of the fighting guys’ elbow. Nobody came to separate them and the bartenders just looked and continued serving other guests. Me and my friends felt very unsafe and uncomfortable.

Other than that, the place is really good, although there is way too little shade on a sunny day. The food is horrible, however. We paid 6€ for fish&chips that were virtually inedible, all soaked in fat and burnt.

Hope to see an improvement!
