Not very artistic looking art center
Aug 2019
In live and close to this building does not look as beautiful as it seems in the photo, but overall, it still seemed pretty to me. Especially if you look at it not separately, but in a kind of composition "the center itself, the pond and the sculpture in the center of the pond".
This place hosts exhibitions, film screenings, music concerts, dance and theater performances by artists from various countries of Asia, Africa and South America. Events are divided into several topics: art, cinema, media, dancing, theater, music, literature, society, science.

Nice architect concert hall
Jun 2019 • Solo
This concert hall is located in the park not far from the Parliarment building and is next to the Carillon. This review is not about the restaurant and the performance, rather about the building itself. It was built by an American architech as the International Building Exhibition and was given to the (then) West Germany as a gift. The Sculpture was done by Henrry Moore. According to the history, building was rebuilt after the roof collapsed in 1980, and the sculpture were rebuilt to the same design due to damaged by nature and vandalism. At present the builting is known as the NJational Center for International Art and focusing on non-European. Even without the events, the buidling is worth visiting for some photos. By the way, Presidnet Kennedy spoke here duing his visit to Berlin.

This is a concert hall with an interesting architecture. It is shaped liked a clam.

The surrounding area is very quiet and nice to sit and relax.

Nice place to walk around, it has a vintage vibe to it and has a nice view from the deck. You can see the tv Tower and the building where Angela Merkel’s office is!

An outdoor concert
Aug 2018 • Friends
As part of our visit to Berlin we attended an open air concert which was great fun. The complete festival is called Goodbye UK - and Thank You for the Music. We heard Anushka and Mexrrissey. Refreshments and stalls were on hand. The setting is very fine with open grounds and large open terraces. Inside there are different spaces for other kinds of events. Check out the programmes and take a trip over there.

peaceful place
Aug 2017 • Family
We passed it a few times on the 100 bus and once we learned more about the locally nicknamed pregnant oyster we decided to pay it a quick visit. It is very peaceful and has a nice cafe / restaurant and has music concerts at times. Very nicely secluded from the main tourist spots but beautifully located down the road between the Siegessaule and Reichstag and backing onto water.

Great place for coffee and sandwiches, lovely view of the river.
Aug 2017
The cafe is at teh back of the theatre, looking at the River Spree.
We stopped for lunch and had very reasonable price and good quality drinks and sandwiches, with lots of choice.
Service was friendly and quick.
Highly recommended.

Quiet, set off spot but well worth the visit
Jun 2017 • Solo
We were told that HKW didn't get too much traffic because it is somewhat isolated from other sites but that is precisely the charm. Plan your trip here to soak in what's on the program but also to take in Tiergarten which is an extensive park with trails, waterviews and chance encounters with rabbits and I'm told, foxes. Wish I had more time to explore.

Post-utopian world as it is
Feb 2017 • Solo
Very impressive venue, it is somewhat remoniscent of post-utopian architecture and style. Located in the centre of Tiergarten, it makes a very charismatic location in park surroundings. Usually hosts exhibitions, conferences, Berlinale screenings.
