When visiting Berlin, don't neglect this special view of the city, it's a must, but pay attention to the next hints: Take the headphones with the translation because a noisy group may disturb you from hearing... If you take the evening tour be prepared not to see a big part of the tour because they are not dimming the lights in the cabin, so you see yourself in the glassed window.

Whilst it was relaxing I found there was not too much to see. Berlin is best explored by the hop-on hop-off bus and lots of walking....

Getting there for the first boarding of the day means you don't have to queue that long. Best done on a sunny day so you can sit topside. Some cruises don't do English commentaries but they have headphones for prerecorded commentaries in most asked-for languages. A really pleasant and relaxing way to see the sites of Berlin from a smooth, calm, crowd-free perspective.

We chose the boat 'ANLEGESTELLE' and the commentator spoke very good Englishand made the trip very interesting, informative and occasionally humorous. We saw the sights from a different angle and perspective and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Thank you.

A very nice way to see the sights, we had already seen Berlin from above and by bus but to see it from the water was enchanting, learning about the architecture and the uses for the buildings along with more history of such a fascinating city was very interesting. They provided devices for non-German speakers as the PA system was in German, the only problem we had was that the devices would be midway through explaining something then cut off, which disappointing. Boarding the boat is tricky too as we got on at one "port" then twenty minutes later it said "everybody off" upon speaking with the staff we found we were actually allowed to stay as there was more to see but it is very unclear where you are supposed to be board the boat!
