Although stadium is some distance away from city center, I highly recommend going to game. Stadium is old and ugly but atmosphere is marvelous! I have visited many football matches around the world and I have never seen such a fanatic fans. They were shouting...More
Union Berlin plays an half hour local train (S3) trip away from the busy downtown Berlin. After that there is a one kilometer walk on local roads. No fancy services along the way. Bear, sausages etc are certainly available. It is all worth it though....More

A great experience - a shame they lost when we went
Been three times - 2011, 2012 and 2015. Having also been to FC Bayern, Borussia Dortmund, Werder Bremen, FC Köln, Eintracht Frankfurt and Eintracht Braunschweig; I can say Union Berlin is the best footballing experience I've had in Germany. A special club and atmosphere.
