Colleagues took me here for a concert (Mahler - Klavierquartett a-moll; Messiaen - Théme et variations; Schumann - Klavierquintett Es-Dur opus 44) and it was absolutely wonderful! Apart from the incredible talented musicians, the atmosphere in this somewhat chaotic, old piano repair shop is something completely different from the usual concert halls. Tickets normaly cost around 25€, which includes drinks... More

A great experience! Would definitely go back! Concerts take place in a piano workshop by day, transforming into an intimate home style by night. Very casual, Very Berlin. Book your tickets on site, no charge (some concert s do cost a minimum charge). Once you arive you are sitted in your place. As you go out you are expected to... More

The "salon" is in an old small warehouse. There are many restaurants nearby so grab food before hand. They do offer an honour bar, pour a glass of wine open a beer and put your money in the glass. There are about 200 chairs, a mishmash of different types, each with a personalised name label on the seat. You are... More

Our daughter thought we'd enjoy a trip to this piano salon. It is a long barn like place full of parts of old instruments and interesting art. Our reserved seats had cushions on them and we were given a free glass of wine in the price of our tickets( 25 euros). We got a fabulous concert of Betthoven sonatas with... More

This music salon in the Wedding area is off the usual touristic path, which makes it super fun for tourists. A former garage/bus depot houses a collection of pianos and piano parts. The evening we went a pianist played two different pianos (there are 11 on the stage/platform) for Scarlatti and Liszt. Chairs are set around in various places for... More

Visiting the salon for a piano recital was by the far the best thing we did in Berlin. It is just the most interesting, surprising and beautiful venue and transforms your experience of the music into an experience that will never be forgotten. If I ever go back to Berlin this will be the first place I visit.

Probably no other city in Europe is so good at blending refined culture with modern urban style. Piano salon Christophori is just about that blend. An A+ classical music venue based in an industrial building that is a former repair workshop. Packed full of various trinkets, mismatched chairs, sofas, floor lamps and loads of other beaten up furniture that creates... More

Discovered this place on the Internet and as I'm a classical music lover had to go. I'd call it an underground performance venue featuring up and coming young artists. The performances have taken place in 2 venues in an industrial arts complex which is interesting in itself. Evidently they build pianos and repair them at the site. The audience is... More

I discovered this while browsing on Google some months ago and went to three concerts last week. It must be just the best chamber music venue in Berlin. The Salon was started by Christophe Schreiber, a medical doctor, who is also a piano restorer, and is housed in a former transport repair workshop in Wedding a poor area north of... More

In the course of surfing the internet for information about Schubert, I discovered the Christophori Piano Salon. This is a piano workshop and cornucopia of anything to do with old pianos which also hosts a series of piano and song recitals by young professional musicians. It's possible to reserve seats at these over the internet. Looking at the pictures on... More
