I went here with my two young daughters aged 7 and 9 on holiday from the UK, The staff member we dealt with (there were three in total) was rude and confrontational from the moment we arrived. we were told we would receive adequate instruction - instead we got an unprofessional rushed 3 Minute run through delivered with impatience and... We took 2 teenage boys to Berlin for the week and this was definately their highlight. We went on a day which was warm and sunny and they spent 1.5 hours climbing in MountMitte and then about an hour watching a beach volley ball competition. It was such a chilled out place, really strange to think it was in the... More

Went with a group of 9 friends very last minute. Staff were brilliantly helpful and the course is fantastic. Sort of like GoApe except it's completely flexible and caters even better to large groups just looking to have fun. Would highly recommend!

Took our boys here (10 and 12) and they absolutely loved it - the highlight of their trip to Berlin. Even though we arrived a couple of hours before it was due to open, the staff were more than happy to let us climb so we had the place to ourselves. Safe, well designed with enough variety to keep you... More

Went there with my partner for some fun to take a break from all the depression of WW2. The staff were really helpful with some basic english. It's really safe to do. Probably best left to the under 30's but we had a blast anyway. Recommend taking your kids if you have them.

Went here with some friends whilst travelling through Germany, actually stumbled across this place by accident after visiting the Berlin Wall memorial which is less than a Minutes walk from here. Was blown away by the High MountMitte which is basically a grown ups version of a climbing frame. Its was around 20 Euros when I went and it is... More

We went with our 8 year old lad after visiting the Berlin Wall memorial which is next door. We just needed a bit of cheering up after seeing all that terrible history. We went on the huge climbing frame and had 1.5 hours of fun, tiring fun, but definitely fun. I think the price was about €30 for the both... More

We saw a website for this MountMitte and hoped it would provide some entertainment for 13yr old while we were in the city for a short break. It was fantastic. Age 13 can go on their own, and they can stay on as long as they like. One great advantage of his course compared to ones we have done in... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
