In the modern Theater am Potsdamer Platz plays this nice jukeboxmusical with hits from Udo Lindeberg. I didn't know his music but the theme of the show: the Berlin Wall interested me. The show is in German but you have English subtitles. The cast is wonderful and also the music is great.

While the whole show is in German there are subtitles in English as well - so don't be afraid if your German isn't so good :-) I'm not an Udo Lindenberg fan and normally not big into musicals, but the music fits well into the show for the most part. There are a few parts which are obviously just so... More

If you are interested in the a history about east/west Germany you should definitely visit this musical, with music by Udo Lindenberg. The assemble performs so well and the history they are telling and singing is first class. We had seats very close to the scene and had a good view. What was more amazing was that this musical had... This show was excellent. However, for English (non German viewers) make sure you book a seat back a bit so you can see the English sub-titles which are quite high up. I was in Row 2 and I had to crane my neck to see the English translation.

I lived for one year in Germany (West Germany) many years ago, and that one year was the one before the Berlin Wall fell. That should act as a good lead into this musical. Hinterm Horizont was fun and interesting for me, but I lived for a year in a Germany that was still divided; came to Berlin for a... More

We attended Hinterm Horizont at the impressive Stage Theater in Potsdamer Platz while visiting Berlin. Two nights before, we had attended a performance at the Deutscher Oper which left a bit to be desired. This "Rock Opera", however, was outstanding: wonderful music, excellent staging, all the latest in lighting and other effects. Superscripts in English were easy to read and... More

It is like holywood bad romantic comedy. Only to go if there is not anything else to do, which is Berlin is imposible. Better to spend your time and money in whatever other play/show (e.g. BlueMan)

Hinterm Horizont is a musical that gives a deep insight into the recent past of Germany. The story is about a two lovers that are separated by the German Wall in Berlin. I enjoyed the rock music and the touching story of this musical. You don't have to book a first class ticket to have a good view. From my... More

We loved the performance. An interesting story about a very difficult subject - a love story about a westberliner (popsinger Udo Lindenberg) and the eastberlin girl from Pankow. Their meeting and the obstacles they have to overcome in order to contact and meet each others. Amazing music with very good singers. The story also describes the life in East-Berlin in... More
