I was literally blown away by the massive structure of the station when I first laid eyes on the platforms as soon as I got off the train from Hanover. There are multiple layers of this station where trains come and go. It also connects...More

Not speaking a word of German, the Berlin Haupbahnhof could be very daunting, but the staff at the information desks all speak English and were very helpful. This is the confluence of the trains (Deutchbahn) underground (U-BAhn) and the trans (S-Bahn). Downstairs the trains run...More

For a train station it is good and huge, arrived by train and left by train and getting around the station is complicated because there are so many exits, we arrived in the very bottom when we came from Frankfurt and we had to go...More

You may not realize Moabit is one of the city’s most
central neighbourhoods when you arrive at Hauptbahnhof
(central station). Surrounded by waterways, Moabit is
a quiet island protected from the hustle and bustle of
Berlin. The crowds that do gather prefer spending
their evenings in cozy restaurants over the party
venues offered by other districts. With its beautiful
parks, old housing and romantic industrial areas, life
