Came here to walk through the park - very peaceful and quiet probably due to the freezing January temperatures. Nice statues/monuments all the way through. Only thing that ruined it was scamers trying to get money from tourists who were very rude. Would avoid them at all costs

Visited the garden by chance as was visiting the Victory Monument and was intrigued by the statue . For a look went closer and found very intresting statues of Boar killing and so walked around .

Beautiful garden, even in the winter when people are ice skating on the frozen lakes. The walks meander from the Brandenberg Gate right through to the zoo. Beautiful!

Was here for Berlin Pride/CSD, the central road through from the Brandenberg Gate to the Victory Tower was jam packed with people. Great for taking a walk through and relaxing.

Lovely walks much quieter than the busy centre and time to chill here. We went when the ponds were completely frozen and it was beautiful. Would recommend it

Very beautiful park with lots of green plants. Lots of activities for kids. Perfect for picnics or bicycling can be rented out from anywhere. A huge park can walk in the park the whole day and still not be enough to see it all. It has a beautiful lake with swans.

We were ambling through the park on our way to the Victory Column when we came across a small lake which was frozen. There were a couple of people skating on it & lots of people walking across it, so we just had to have a go too! It was unexpected and fun! The park was beautiful in winter, the... More

This huge city park is worth seeing at any time of the year with paths, trails and monuments right through the park. many of the buildings which border the park are very interesting too.

We spent hours (over several days) exploring and re-exploring the 1000+? Acres of trees, trails and flowers gardens. Great place for nature lovers in the middle of Berlin - very impressive. Highly recommended.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
