Walking through the Biergarten was like entering lush verdant surroundings bringing a feeling of peace and excitement, as there were so many things to see. For starters the flowers and the arbours and the trees, and the lily ponds. Then the centre with had big lawns with sculptures by famous sculptors all the way down, of hunting scenes and others.... I had plenty of time to kill during my first few hours in Berlin, whilst I was waiting for my family's flight to arrive, so I thought I'd take a walk around the park since it was close to my hotel. The park is so huge you could spend hours and hours. There are lovely monuments and statues dotted all... More

This park is huge and what I really liked was that it is not full of cement as others, but you have the feeling that you are in a forest, in the middle of the nature.

One of the most beautiful places I have been in this city. I am a great fan of parks and nature trails so for me this was a delight.

We loved the beautiful trees that were in full golden autumn colour when we were there, the wide avenues, and the pleasant walkways through the park. The wind came up one day and the air was so full of swirling yellow leaves it almost made us dizzy. A very restful and peaceful place in the middle of a big city.

Beautiful park in any season. The park is very large, you can walk (or bike!!!) there forever. Unlike other cities large parks, this one feels safe. I was told there is a cafe in there but was never able to find it...

The better way for disconnect in Berlin from the traffic noise. Very very quiet zone and it's the biggest park in Berlin. High recommended to dedicate a few hours to walk throught it.

Large parkland that was once a hunting ground. Various things going on in the area. Entertainments. Imagine it would be lovely in the Summer.

If you are in one of the hotels in the vicinity go here for a run. Nice place and you can visit the president in his residence😉

We walked thru Tiergarten a few times in our short stink in Berlin ... as we do all the walking from Hampton by Hilton to city center. We did not take any transport and these walks is very memorable during the day and evening (night). Enjoy if you like nature (in a city)

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
