Tiergarten is a lovely big park right in the centre of Berlin, great for nice walk in pleasant surroundings. Cafe am Neuen See in the Tiergarten, great for breakfast, lunch or just a few beers, lovely setting on the lake in the Park.

Really quite fantastic. My girlfriend and I took a long walk in the park to get out of the hustle and bustle of Berlin. For it to be located very centrally (Next to the Brandenburg gate) was also a big bonus. Take a walk along...More

Following a week of Amsterdam cityscape - cobblestones, canals, swarms of cyclists - it was refreshing to take a walk through the Tiergarten. How nice to walk along dirt paths in a space not overly manicured like Central Park in NYC! The cyclists we encountered...More

Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through
the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which
lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood.
Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city:
upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades
and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone
streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through
little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop

Walking in the park, seeing the gardens, Lamp Post Museum and many beautiful statues is free. There's a charge for going inside the Victory Column (Siegessäule), and of course for food and drink at the restaurants.
