Neighbourhood: Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
How to get there
  • Schlesisches Tor • 7 min walk
  • Warschauer Straße • 9 min walk

Is a gallery of graffiti along the wall off Berlin. Some graffiti are very nice. Be careful some pickpockets are in the area.

If you are in Berlin you must go to see it. This long piece of wall of Berlin is covered by Graffiti Made by artist from all over the world and they're really beautiful, it's like a free museum on open air. There is also a park, shops and other buildings near it and the beautiful Kreuzberg Bridge

This is a fantastic open-air gallery, which include well thought-of graffiti on the longest remaining part of the Berlin Wall.
There's apx. a mile of the wall with various styles of art, most of which are very bright in color and are rather good.
It took us apx. 15 minutes to stroll by the wall and appreciate the art.
Great photo-ops!!!

it has been very exciting to see what became out of the famous berlin wall at this location. it served as a canvas for modern art exhibit at its best and it is a convenient stop on the bus tour as well

Everyone will have their favourite artwork here, nice to see although sadly it hasn’t reduced the huge amount of random graffiti in the city.

If you like the interpretation of Art this is worth a visit. I myself am not the greatest at reading and interpreting art but that didn't stop me admiring the impressive work of local artists and taking in the history of the wall.
I would allow an hour to walk the length of the wall and back (on the outside and then back via the riverside) to truly take in the sight. Shame about the construction work taking place which blocked some of the exhibit but can't be helped.

We spent about an hour walking the length of the gallery admiring the artwork. Some pictures are very thought provoking, some less so. The weather was wet for our visit but this didn't dampen the enjoyment of this

When visiting Berlin this is one you have to tick off
