Yes, I get the historical significance but not an attraction I would put down as a 'must-see'. Lots of tourists milling around taking photos but just didn't get something that compares with Admiralty Arch in London as being anything more significant....

A justified Iconic structure, more beautiful at night. But there is only a train connection - not metro so be prepared to walk/change platforms. Nothing else around, perhaps the Einstein Cafe further down for a hot chocolate.

If you visit Berlin, you have to see the gate. We visited years ago, when the difference between east and west was more pronounced, but the area is still a must see

The artwork on the Brandenburg Gate is truly remarkable. Having recently been to Athens, Greece, I thought that it was an ancient Roman/Greek structure. I wasn't far off when I learned it was modeled after the Acropolis of Greece. It was very picturesque and worth...More

We walked from Checkpoint Charlie to the Brandenburg Gate. Once we got here we stayed for about 10 mins to take some photos and admire the structural views. Nice place. I imagine it gets really busy in the summer months

Great history here! The visit won't take long! But you absolutely want to see it! Just around the corner from the Holocaust Memorial!

The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights
like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum
Island. The central location makes this one of the
city's most expensive places to live. It is here the
oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence
of some significant transformations, as well. The
gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets
between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given

It looks like Easter is a great time to visit Germany, since Easter is one of their most celebrated holidays. Many events and special markets and decorations. I wouldn't worry about that.
