Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Two hours well spent! Need to book well in advance, get your names submitted and arrive at the correct time, but the view and visit (all for free) are well worth it.

Book the tour slot on the reichstag website - fantastic free audio tour which points out all the sites makes a great introduction to Berlin. Even the teenager thought it was good.

We registered for our free tickets to visit Norman Foster’s glass dome at the top of the Parliament building about 2 weeks before visiting. We selected a time slot and on the day arrived slightly early and were let in. We had to show our passports as proof of ID and have a bag search but was all pretty easy. Then we took the lifts to the roof terrace and glass dome. If you like modern architecture and good views then you will like this. You basically follow the spiral walkway around the glass dome to the top and back again but the views change as you go and you get a different perspective on the building which was good. The teenagers liked it!

Must visit if you are in Berlin, easy to reach by public transport, close to Brandenburger Tor as well.

This place is stunning! You can book a visit to the dome ahead of time to make sure you get in, it can get very busy.
The dome on top of the parliament building serves many purposes, including providing the main plenary chamber with fresh air and daylight.
Definitely get the free audio tour when you're there, it's full of amazing information about the dome, the building, and the sights of Berlin that can be seen from it.

Visited here with my partner in July. We enjoyed our visit, loved the whole experience. Got some great unique photos. Lovely views of the city too. We visited on a very hot day 38 degrees and was so pleased that they sold ice lollies at the top! We sat outside on the top to enjoy the view whilst cooling down with an ice lolly :) would recommend, well worth a visit.

We pre-booked weeks in advance for 10am. Turned out the dome wasn't open until midday, which wasn't advertised anywhere so we missed out. Very poor.

The guided tours are awesome, but be sure to book far in advance as they fill up quickly and are limited in languages. Otherwise even a simple trip to the dome is awesome, be sure to go at night for a spectacular view of Berlin's lights.

We booked the free guided tour, which is well organized and informative. Walked through different parts of the building, with introduction of the rebuild, saw some art works and scripts on the walls, and visited the Plenary chamber. Then toured the dome by ourselves. Strongly suggest to book a guided tour if the Parliament is not sitting. Also remember to take an audio guide when visiting the dome, introducing what you see along the ramp and more on how German government works.
