Cycle through Grunsewald to this tower, with amazing views over Berlin. Amaze at the expanse of woodland and lakes within half an hour cycle from city centre . Escape from the busy city centre, to appreciate what the locals enjoy.

The Grunewaldturm is a nice stop on a walk or bike tour through the Grunewald forest. Although admittance is pretty expensive for 'just a tower' it's almost worth the view. Best time to go is the evening when there's this soft light all over the Havel and the land behind.

Fantastic if your liked the TV Tower this is just as good with fantastic views of Berlin from the outside. There are 274 steps to the best of my recollection to the top but it's well worth it was a brilliant clear day with views to Berlin and to Potsdam and then back down for refreshments.

I come here every year to enjoy the view of Berlin and the Grunewald. The admission fee is not cheap but the peaceful location and the view are worth it. I usually come here by motorbike so I have no idea how easy it is to reach using public transportation. The only drawbacks so far is the price and the... More

Next stop on our bike ride (see House Schildhorn) was the Grunewald Turm or "The tower of Grunewald" near the Wannsee. Another stop made with refreshment to cool down from the hill climbs enforced by my companion exercised bike rider, a perfect place to suck up some local history as well (weather allowing in our case) sun shine. A nice... More
