I must admit that I know the "old" C/O (in Mitte) better than the new one. Location aside (the old one in a historical postoffice), C/O has made itself an excellent name for being the place to go to see excellent photo exhibitions. I have never been disappoined. The most recent exhibition, Gordon Parks . I Am You, within the... More

A superb photo gallery and exhibition space. I've visited 3-4 times now. There is always a significant exhibition on. Most recently Gordon Parks. It also has a decent photo book shop and a great coffee shop. A pretty perfect combination.

If you like photography, then this is a good museum for you. Changing exhibitions but usually have a strong social or political message. There is a cooling system in the building, so great for a hot day.

What an amazing place! So close to the Museum fur Fotografie - you can plan a whole trip dedicated to photography in Berlin (+ Camera Work at Kantstrasse and CWC Gallery at Auguststrasse). The main reason for my visiting the gallery was Sophie von Meisel exhibition, Allure. Amazing pictures nicely arranged on the ground level. There are usualy 2 exhibitions... More

We visited the "Alure" photo exibit that was well curated and contained many nice photographs. The venue was nice for a photo exibit.

First time I have been since it moved. Easy to find, being right opposite zoo U/S-bahn station. Saw two excellent exhibitions including a major retrospective of Stephen Shore. Has lots of gallery space. A good bookshop and a nice cafe / coffee shop.

My visit in the bar/cafe was definitely not plesant! The wifi did not work so I decided to ask a waiter. I tried talking to her in German, but she snapped at me, and kept nagging that she had to repeat herself because I had trouble understanding her. I never got the wifi to work. The prices are way to... More

I recently visited C/O Berlin to see the large Stephen Shore retrospective. Shore is well-known for his Warhol series. For me, it's the period of Shore's career in which he chronicled America and American life holds most interest. Shore's American Surfaces and Uncommon Places projects capture images of Americana that are intelligent and ethnographic in what they reveal about America... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
