So much information, be sure to give yourself plenty of time to see if all. You can get an audio guide in several languages although it is difficult to follow as there are so many numbered exhibits in so many rooms. You could get by reading the translations at the exhibits themselves. A nice gift shop is at the end... More

Great museum to visit. Amazing to see what some people went through to escape East Germany. Be prepared for lots of reading for information as not very interactive. Brings it up to date with war in Syria too

Checkpoint Charlie Museum is very entertaining from this point of time, but you can see there all kinds of attempts of escaping. Some stories are very sad.

You get to see actors acting as american soldiers. Beware you have to pay if you take a picture with them. Its kinda waste of time. You could see more in the big dome museum called the wall. Nuff said, if you are hungry do come here. There are lots to eat.

I didn't plan on visiting the Checkpoint Charlie museum but I'm very glad that I did. It was very chilling and moving to read about the history of the wall and those who lost their lives trying to get to the other side.

The museum is nice but would need some changes. The boards with information are in 4 languages which makes the space looks overcrowded. When we were in the place was packed which made it impossible to move and read most of texts. The impression is I wouldn't recommend this as must see.

I was looking forward to going here and to learn more about the history of the wall and check point Charlie, the museum has some very interesting exhibits and the audio guide has some very interesting information on it, unfortunately none of it seems to match up most of the audio guide numbers seem to be missing from the exhibits... They have some very interesting material around the Berlin Wall but it feels a bit unorganized. Improving that would make the museum much more interesting. But if you're there it's definitely worth a visit to learn more on the history of the wall.

was looking forward to visiting checkpoint charlie, it was busy, it was historic, lots of photo opportunities and shops are good, we went into the shop to purchase museum tickets, myself, husband, daughter and son, a wheelchair user, I never asked if the museum was accessible, because everywhere else we visited was, we were sold tickets, discount for wheelchair user,... Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
