Das Plonlein is one of the very beautiful places located in the old town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, a wonderful medieval city in Franconia, a region of the south part of Germany. Here you can see some medieval buildings, a medieval tower and other...More
We stayed at the Glocke Hotel (blue building to the left of this picture spot) and it was beautiful! My husband caught the best night picture of this street which will be enlarged and hung in our home. Just gorgeous, quintessential Germany!
Plonlein appears as if it's been plucked out of a storybook. The half-timbered architecture and steep room are picturesque (but also garners a lot of tourists during the day). To avoid the crowds, I recommend staying at least one night in Rothenburg to see it...More

Hello, there are I think about 8 different fountains in Rothenburg. One is in front gf the Plönlein where the streets divide and where the half-timbered house is. Another one is at the main market square, then there is the street to the fortress one, then there is one close to the main church. But I think that you mean the one close to the Plönlein, since it is also the most famous one.
You will find it easily in Rothenburg, just go from the main market square the street down and after about 400ft. you'll find it.
