Old decorations made of cotton, glue, paper, lead and...More

basically the title says it all. This was the most thorough Christmas museum that I've ever seen and included the artifacts to back it up. It was fascinating to see it presented in a chronological order. And of course, when you're finished, youre in the...More

The Christmas museum and store are connected. That is convenient. I did expect more from the museum. It does give information on the first ornament, Christmas tree, nutcracker, etc...but I was underwhelmed with the displays.

Christmas trees first gained popularity in Germany and the German Christmas Museum will tell you all about its origins. The museum is upstairs with the shop on the main level. Both are good size. As a Christmas lover, this was a must see for me.

This place goes on forever!! We got totally lost in it looking at all the historical decorations and then being shunted into the STORE where you could spend thousands of Euros on all sorts of Christmas stuff!!

We paid the €4 as it was summertime and the city was busy. The museum was quiet though and we enjoyed seeing all the old decorations. It was enjoyable.
