Excellent museum, well worth a visit if you are in Rothenburg, loads of exhibits and information, children would not appreciate it though.

The medieval crime museum was just a history nerd’s paradise. So many cool items and documents to see. It was cheap and easy to get around. Worth some time while in Rothenburg

We visited on Christmas Day just before closing time do had to be fairly quick looking at this museum. It did feel a bit 'jumbled' and didn't seem to follow a theme by room - or explain everything clearly - except the final building. Overall...More

It was interesting to see how crime and punishment was handled back in the day. Glad it isn't like that anymore.

This museum (costed €7 to enter) has lots of duplicated items (hand cuffs, etc). A large portion of the museum was photocopies of diagrams/texts from old books and papers. There is really nothing special about this museum – clearly overly rated. I do not know...More

fascinating museum. I've been here before, but it is still intriguing. Its unbelievable how man kind used to (and still does) treat each other. The history is dense, and fascinating to see how things were then, and how things have changed because of those things...More

This was heralded as a highlight of the little town; a must-see. It wasn't and isn't. There are far more interesting museums. Plus, if you are not fit, you will not be able to see the whole place, which requires you to walk up several...More
