The museum was better than we expected. The antique weapon collection was impressive. We spent about 2 hours there. The regular price is 5 Euros per person plus 3 Euros for the photo pass. I wish that I would have purchased it. We found it interesting, one negative, not everything has English descriptions. Another negative are the hours of operation... More

Convenient location, but there are better things you could do with your time, like St. Jacob's Church. Lots of department store mannequins dressed in period costume. Would really benefit from a major renovation.

Daniel picked us up from our Viking River Cruise in Wurzburg, Germany and had an all-day tour of Rothenburg. He provided us with many behind-the-scenes areas of the City that were not available from the ship guided tour. We toured the old historic town and town square, had lunch in a traditional Bavarian restaurant and were treated to many Christmas... More

When I got to this museum, I was excited until I discovered that it cost almost as much to take photos as to get in (entrance is 4.5 euro and to take photos is an additional 3 euro). This put a damper on my joy at seeing their collection. The collection itself is very nice and I was impressed with... More

For only £4.50 per adult we spent a rainy afternoon in this well appointed museum. The cashier even stored our dripping coats for us. Look out for the locks - amazing.

With a small addition to the admission price you are able to photograph the great items displayed. Good range of interesting exhibits from weapons to ceramics to interior furnishings.

Our host in our guest house highly recommended this museum to us.We went to the Criminal Museum and the one near the city hall and went down in the dungeon . Scary to think people died there. Anyway, this museum is in a league of it's own !!! Amazingly beautiful. If you only have time to do one thing go... More

This is one of the best museums I have been to. The 2000 years of history in a wonderful old convent. Beautifully presented, we didn't get to see all the exhibits as ran out of time, need to spend many hours to see it all. Wonderful history and artefacts.

Sited in a restored former convent, the museum had a selection of city, military and household items representing 2000 years of history. The collection include original religious and civil artifacts from the city and convent. The guild signs were particularly interesting and something we haven't seen elsewhere. The military and hunting collection was fairly deep for a relatively small museum,... More
