The gardens are especially tranquil. Rothenburg is not a noisy bustling metropolis, but walking in the gardens allows for quiet reflection with impressive views of the wall and one of the burg gates. The gardens are well maintained, they have a fountain with a fishpond,...More

Staying in the beautiful garden You can fill as living in a medieval city, outside the wall,a walk distance from the burg gate. The city wasn't damage by the air rides in WW II and is exactly as it was in century 13th and 14th.

Make sure you walk down through the Burggarten (Castle Garden), the site of the former castle. There are lovely views from here and also beautiful gardens.

We went in summer, on a hot day, and we loved it. Situated by the old town, the garden offers beautiful views of the city as well as the valley underneath. It is the perfect location to unwind after a day of site-seeing.

We so enjoyed walking through this little park. It is so beautiful and I was able to strike up some conversations with some kind local people in my limited German. Just refreshing and a delight to the eyes and soul

It's very nice to walk in this part of the city and take pictures from one of the nicest spots of it. We suggest to walk down to watch the grapes fields and take a look at the medieval bridge
