Better than the Rathaus, is the square across it. Central point in Augsburg, it's a nice place to eat and enjoy the vibrant city. The Rathaus is huge!

Tickets available in the Tourist information office in the square open time for the visit. The visit through the down stairs lobby and up the staircase is no preparation for the hall itself. Very ornate and decorated everywhere to impress with sheer opulence. More interesting...More

it's small and you won't be here long to see it all, but if you take the time to read the displays you will see just how much the little city of Augsburg contributed to the world especially in terms of technology!

Great atmosphere, fluent and friendy service even if the restaurant was fully booked and absolutely the best dinner in the city!

Fascinating recreation of pre WW2 building. Authentic architecture and material were used in its rebuilding. I never made it to the gold room that others glowing describe. Instead I opted for a cold beer in the basement restaurant.

This town hall was well worth a visit. The Golden room is amazing, it was reconstructed after it was bombed during WWII back to its original form. There is a small fee to enter and you receive an information brochure. The room took my breath...More

The beautifull city Hall is a must see IN Augsburg for its golden room with very high ceiling (14 metres).

If you visit Augsburg this is really a must see. The hall was destroyed by the bombing in ww2. Restored very beautifully.
