Augsburg is a beautiful place which still embodies the life and architecture of the middle-ages when it was one of the most powerful kingdoms in Germany. This Cathedral is worth the visit since it is peaceful and not crowded and the architecture is exquisite.

Visiting this cathedral was definitely the highlight of our trip to Augsburg. So much history, and the architecture is interesting and very beautiful.

Nothing special compare to Ulm cathedral, but worth to visit. Gothic style, started to build at XIV century.

It's a lovely old cathedral in the old part of town. Entrance is free & there is plenty to see in & around the building.

This huge stone cathedral is visible from a distance as you walk along maximilianstrasse. The cavernous interior is not as ostentious as many other European cathedrals yet still impressive.

We stumbled upon the cathedral by accident almost. My son had been wondering around town, saw it from the outside, and told me about it. He didn't know if people were allowed to enter - as it is still being used as a place of...More
