Do not hesitate to take a hike to the hill which the castle is located on. You will see a magnificent view of Nürnberg. Also the building in the castle are really beautiful and traditionally built.

Having sustained sever damage during the 2nd world war, the castle has been restored using much of the original stone. The moat around the castle has been utilised as public space with some lovely gardens. I would recommend to do an organised tour as facts...More

It's a great opportunity to learn lit bit more about historical moments, even it's not the most beautiful Castle in Germany it sure is rich in content, the tour is nice and brings a nostalgic new point of view of the city events of importance.

Been here on different occasions, and each time this castle presents something good. Visit this place for a amazing city view. The view is amazing both during day time and once it gets dark. Photographers will simply love this place

Two key areas to visit: old Town and the Holy Roman Emperors Castle (walking tour); and the former Nazi Party grounds and HQ(museum now).
