Kaiserburg castle is on a slope on the upper side of the old town. It takes some walking to reach it and then climb the slope. The ticket house is inside a walled area, not so straight forward to find it. There is a selection...More

Lovely place to go for a walk and see some old school Bavarian buildings/castle.At the top, you can snap the loveliest pictures of the Nuremburg cityscape. Gorgeous! There is a gift shop with pretty dope views to the city also.

We visited the Castle twice in 2 days and I recommend to first go and explore the museum, the tower and the fountain and then go behind the museum and visit the amazing gardens. We came across 3 different gardens on the walls near the...More

It is quite a hike up the castle, but the views are well worth it! It offers a beautiful view of downtown Nuremberg, Lorenzkirche and the Frauenkirche as well. Furthermore there is a great history behind the castle itself with the connection to the Holy...More

The other reviews cover this attraction pretty well - it's an impressive, but not luxurious, castle overlooking the Altstadt - heavily damaged in World War II but rebuilt like a lot of other structures in Germany. It's a considerable climb from the city and if...More

We visit the castle at least once a month. Always take our visitors. The view is spectacular. Informative ongoing free video presentation at the information kiosk. Video alternates between German and English and lasts about 15 minutes. Souvenirs are reasonably priced. Parking is really limited...More

I have read a number of reviews that only toured outside which is free. The outside gardens, walls, etc. are gorgeous but if you can afford it (7 euro, 6 reduced) it is worth it to tour the inside of the castle. This is one...More

Large medieval castle perched on top of a hill and surrounded in part by a dry moat. We were transported to the top and then walked back down the steep cobble street to the main market area below. Entrance is via a set of gates...More

Just like most old towns in Europe, this one in Nuremberg also has a castle. During our first visit, my wife and I wasn't able to visit this castle because our tour leader simply was not interested in bringing us there. This time around, however,...More

This place is not wheelchair accessible or for this with mobility challenges. The ticket agent was wonderful and he also took the time to recommend some walking "trails" to do outside the castle and good places to eat as well both touristy and non-tourist spots....More
