Not much here

Located at the top of the Olympic Tower, entrance to the museum is free once you have paid the tower entrance fee. In actual fact calling it a museum is probably over egging it a bit, it’s more of a small exhibition of some rock paraphernalia. We spent a few minutes wandering around, but unless you’re a serious rock’n’roll anorak, there isn’t going to be anything here to hold your attention for too long. Pride of place was given to an old juke box, but this unfortunately had an out of order sign on it. Overall, worth a look if you’re in the tower, but I wouldn’t bother otherwise.

Tiny Museum
Jun 2016 • Couples
Tiny exhibit that's not worth your time unless you're visiting the Olympic Tower already. The area is no more than a small store, but do have some interesting collections. Our favorite is the photo of the note from Ritchie Blackmore, but unfortunately, we can't post the photo due to the language used on the note.

Visit if you're keen on visiting Olympic Tower, but I definitely would not go out of my way to visit this tiny museum. It's free from the sense it's included in the Tower entry, but the Tower entry is not free.

They need to increase the size of this museum if they want to make this attraction worthwhile.

This is a free exhibit at the top of the Tower and is OK to pass a couple of minutes but I would not make s special trip there. There are some nice photographs and a few guitars and clothing but not much special.

If you are a Rock fan, it is worth the visit

Having grown up in the era of Rock and Roll, when we saw the Rock Museum, we had to visit it. The museum is located atop the Olympic Tower in Munich. The Museum itself is small, although the variety of items on display was quite fascinating.

It was quite a thrill seeing items from ZZ Top, since I am from Texas. I was also pleased seeing items from Emerson, Lake and Palmer along with Jethro Tull. We wandered around the items pointing and commenting. Each of the old stage passes and memorabilia brought back memories on seeing them. Having grown up with the famous 'Texas Tapes and Records', seeing such a wide variety of Rock artifacts definitely brought on the nostalgia.

If you are a rock and roll fan, you will find the visit, entertaining. If not, you will still enjoy the wonderful view of the Alps from atop the Olympic Tower. Presenting itself as the World's highest Rock Museum, it was a fun adventure for us. My sons enjoyed the items from Freddy Mercury and the Rolling Stones. I am glad that so many bands shared things with this fldgling museum.
