Fleemarket

A lot of things to see! You can buy something very old, or you can only look at everything exposed in this market. Nice experience!

Huge Market - Prefer the One in Berlin
Aug 2019
My wife and I caught the tram and walked to the floamarkt at the Olympiapark. It was massive/huge. Much of what we saw was either electronic or clothes - centric. It was really like a big garage sale. There were a few stands with books or historical items, but this was just a basic flea market. The entire setting was similar to the "Swap Meet" in Hawaii around their local stadium. A sizeable portion of both vendors and shoppers - a vast majority - were simply not German at all. This felt like being in bazaars or souks.

Huge fleamarket, kind of shabby
Mar 2019 • Couples
Since we like to check out local flea markets on our trips we went to this one. We arrived around noon so many stalls were already packing their stuff.
Many stalls sold electronic stuff, cables, tools etc. Many sold clothes including fur coats and skies. We liked the books/comics and kitchen stuff most. The good thing is the variety. However, somehow the presentation was shabby. Books on piles on the dirty pavement, porcellain thrown together in cardboard boxes.
The flea marked is located on a huge parking lot next to the Olympic Park so you could combine it with a vidit there. Not much around there except for the Olympic Park.

Huge affordable Fleamarket
Oct 2018 • Friends
Well worth a trip on the U-bahn to Olympiapark for this bi-weekly fleamarket - it's huge and, compared to other fleamarkets in munich, really affordable. It doesn't get too crowded and there's a massive range of things on sale. Interesting just to walk around and peruse some of the stalls on a nice day. Really cheap clothes on some of the stalls, you can often get 3 items for a euro.

Quality Flea Market
Dec 2018 • Solo
If you are to use public transport, then you must take the U-bahn to the Olympic stadium, and walk from there.
The flea market is by no means huge, however, it does have quality items. Great antiques, curios, pottery, vinyl, etc.
Well worth a visit on a Saturday

Kitsch-y-coo Park
Nov 2018 • Couples
It’s hard work finding the market. From the tram/bus stop Olympiapark West, cross under the freeway and walk north on Landshuter Allee for several hundred metres. If you want to drive, there’s lots of parking and you will not have already exhausted yourself just getting there.

OK! You’ve arrived, you’re there! Then what? Well I looked high and low for a bargain, I looked high and low for anything of interest. Both eluded me.

The Germans have a great word for this. Kitsch.

Huge, but not crowded
Jul 2015 • Family
The stalls of the retailers had sufficient space between them to move comfortably without bumping into other visitors. There was variety and a lot to look at. We were lucky to find a number of things we had been looking for. Liked it.
