So fun to watch these brave souls in whatever weather! It is magical and mesmerizing! Well worth a stop on your way for a stroll in the English Garden.

WOW - this was a thing to witness on a chilly November day. Some VERY dedicated surfers taking on the wave. Hoods, thick wetsuits, and some v pink faces. Loved watching these guys riding the wave.

So cool to watch these daredevils, jumping in and getting the briefest of rides but up and back at it.

After a long walk in the English Garten, this spectacular attraction is fun. On the south part of this enormous park, young people in wet suits and surfing board at the ready, impatiently stand in line to surf on the artificial waves and risk their lifes. This is a must see!

Very cool, so out of place yet so perfect, just hang and get some pics and videos before moving into the Gardens.

The place is beautiful.. There are a group of local residents who take advantage of the water rushing from the river embankments to ski on it.. The view is wonderful and it became one of the landmarks of the English Garden in Munich.. Access to the place is easy, the location is opposite the Natural Museum stop for bus No. 100 and tram No. 27.. Watch the skaters you can head into the English Garden to complete your tour

This is a must do! Not only is watching the surfers a must, but I didn't realize that people swim in the river there as well. There is a strong current that carries you down but it isn't deep and you can stand the whole way. It isn't for good swimmers but I went in with my 2 kids aged 12 and 16 and we loved it. People congregate in the park there and hang out as well near the river. Great place for a picnic. You can walk to various great beer gardens and eat in the forest or on the lake as well.

Main reason we went through the English Garden!! It was fun watching all the surfers. I think we watched them from all angles (sides and on the bridge).

If you’re walking through the Englischer Garten, it is well worth spending some time watching the surfers attempt to ride the wave, fall over, and then queue up to try again.
