This place was fabulous before it converted to Eataly. Not exciting and unique any longer. Just stay outside and enjoy the market. No reason to enter this place.

Gourmet Foodie Heaven
Jul 2019 • Friends
Really cool place. I believe it is housed in an old remodeled factory or transportation hall. Beautiful glass roof with forest green fancy metal supports.

This place is really paradise for foodies. Our luggage was already to heavy to purchase anything else, but the choices seemed endless.

It also appeared that many of the vendors have casual seating areas for light meals and drinks.

Nice cool place to shop and eat
Jun 2019
Lots of good food in a cool bright setting. It’s a nice place to stop on a hot day, and best of all the gelato was outstanding. It equaled the quality of the best gelato in Florence, Venice, and Rime.

Eataly food and shopping
Feb 2019 • Couples
One of our favourite places to visit every time we are in Munich. Casual hall with gourmet Italian food and products to browse and buy then stop for a meal in one of the Italian eateries.
We enjoyed the mushroom truffle tagliatelle and the Le Grand burger at La Cucina del Mercato. Pizzas are also their specialty.
Nice selection of Italian wines in the basement and a bike shop on the second floor.

Italian style close to Viktualienmarkt.
Sep 2018 • Couples
This place is run by Eataly and is a mixture of Italian (gourmet!?) food&wine as well as an Italian snack place.

First impression was "what is going on in this huge&noisy kind of market hall? selfservice or not?!". Finally bought drinks at the counter and sat outside.

Better and more authentic options close by!

Disappointed!
Jul 2017 • Friends
We thought this would be an indoor street food market with different types of food. It was a massive shop,Eatly, selling Italian products, prepared food and appeared to be expensive. Very nicely set out and was pleasant to wander round but not what we wanted.

Gourmet shopping at daytime, great food and drinks night & day
Jun 2017 • Solo
This place offers you a lot of Italian and gourmet groceries at many different stations and combines the upscale "market" atmosphere with some really nice places to have food and drinks - inside and outside the building. At night, you cannot shop anymore but everything is kept in place while the food places remain open. In other places, many of the groceries would disappear but not here...Cool experience and atmosphere...definitely worth going in for shopping, eating, drinking...

Eataly...gourmet market place
May 2017 • Couples
Inside you will find numerous stations to purchase gourmet delights ranging from desserts...candies...meats...cheese...drinks etc.

Downstairs you will find a very clean restroom for .50 Euro along with more chocolate and a café.

This is Eataly
Oct 2016 • Friends
This place may have a German Name but it is just Eataly! If you have one of them in your home town, you may not want to go to this one because it is more or less the same with any other ones and you know, why buy italian stuff in Germany?

I went because I did not know it was Eataly and it was rainy when I got there. Comparing to the one in Chicago, the variety of goods there is just not as many. The main issue with me was that I had bad experience at the restaurant part, really bad service and I even think they were racist, sorry to say!

Deli
Oct 2015 • Couples
Good use of a former grain exchange that has been turned in a deli, it has also served as a synagogue. Now and upscale deli, a good use of the space.
