I have used HOHO buses in dozens of cities around the world and usually find City Sightseeing to be one of the better companies. This is without a doubt the worst I have ever used. There are only 12 stops all up over 3 routes, and many of the stops have little or no points of interest. We purchased tickets today for 2 days and we traveled on the red route which is supposed to have 6 stops. The bus did not even go near 3 of the stops and we were given no information when purchasing tickets that this would be the case so we waited at a stop for more than 1 hr before deciding to just walk to another stop. We will not even bother trying to use our tickets tomorrow. The bus that we did travel on looked like it was due for the scrapyard many years ago. The blue route has 3 stops but a bus only comes every 2 hours. The map given is literally the worst of any company I have ever seen, and does not even say which stop is for which line. Everything is within walking distance so save your €25 each and give this company a big miss.

I bought the two day pass on the Hop on Hop off bus ( red bus) with its different routes. The buses start near Munich Central Station and some of the stops included Nymphenburg palace, Olympic park, Marienplatz, English Garden and various museums. I always use the hop on hop off bus wherever it is available. A convenient way to explore the city.

Don’t waste money on this line, we literally just did 1 hour... and absolutely nothing to it. If you’re fit and love walking, I suggest a walking tour, it heard a tour guide giving his group great information by the Marianne platz while we’re waiting for the bus to come by. By the way, this is not rated 1, this is negative 1. You Tes can’t take good pictures because bus doesn’t stop unless it’s red light. The audio guide is not very clear wasn’t working properly.

When we first visit a city, we LOVE the hop on/ hop off bus. It situates and informs us of sites/ points of interest so that we can return to visit at our own convenience. The recording on this bus was not very clear. The thick German accent was difficult to understand and the narrator seemed to be congested. Also, when we purchased our tickets, the seller/ service person wasn’t the friendliest. He gave us a receipt which we then took to the awaiting bus. We were not allowed on with the receipt. We NEEDED tickets. We quickly returned to the office and the same man was on his cell phone and totally ignored us for 10 minutes. Another person helped us, none too friendly as well. We did make the bus we had planned for. The city is indeed pretty. The guides recording did not always correspond with points of interest.

I’m standing up in front of the stop in front of the train main station since more than fifty minutes waiting to get into a bus. They should not sell tickets if they don’t have enough buses to carry the people. Next time better taking public transportation. Terrible experience!
