This was my "home-beer garden" - I used to live nearby. It's a really nice one in the middle of the biggest city park (Englischer Garten) in the world. Inside the big Chinese pagoda plays the typical Bavarian live music. You will enjoy great typical...More

OK the Biergarten am Chinesischen Turm is a must see in Munich, but do not exaggerate. The location is nice in the middle of the park, but the crowds and noisy can sometimes destroy the mood. Do not expect to see to many Germans there...More

Surrounded by autumn colours, plenty of choice for food, and beer, all outside! Really impressed here - it was incredibly clean and service was fantastic, even though it’s supposed to be self-service everyone was helping out. Lovely place to stop for food.

Having left everything in the Schottenhammel tent the night before we needed to reload over lunch and this place was recommended. Lovely walk in Munchen through the English Garden to the Chinese Tower designed by an American. Wonderful sounds from a Bavarian (I assume they,...More

This is hands down my favourite place for a beer in Munich! The space is always buzzing with a great atmosphere, but there are so many tables that you should still find a place to sit down. If you're lucky, you might be there when...More

We walked through the English Garden to reach this biergarten which we had heard was one of the best. We just missed the band, which was disappointing! Pleasant, pretty surroundings. It was a great place to enjoy a bier. There were many food options but...More

We walked from the near end of the English Gardens and then had lunch. The self service nature of the venue and the single payment point after you’ve selected your food and drink from the various stalls makes dining simple and quick. There is a...More

Nice place to have a beer and listen to local band music from the tour. Logistics to order food and beers is easy. Prices are not cheap and service is average. Good ambient but I guess is not where the locals go for a glass.

Stablished in the Englischer Garten in Munich the park itself deserves the visit. The biergarten offers the superb HB bier and a variety of german food. If the weather is good just sit down enjoy your beer and the atmosphere! Families, businessmen, beautiful german ladies...More

This place is a traditional tourist hotspot. Which doesn't mean that you won't find locals - but they know what to expect. The food is overpriced, undersized and overall mediocre at best, Bavarian fast food so to say. If you're into Bavarian brass performed by...More

In the huge and rather dirty park "Englischer Garten" you'll find this huuuuuge "Biergarten", cool outdoor seating under the trees... great place to chill and do some people watching :) It's a "selfservice" place with shared tables, mainly for thirsty beerdrinkers but also other options...More

Nothing really special about this place, unfortunately. It has a nice setting in the Englischer Garten, and there was a band playing when we were there, but otherwise it's crowded and generally mediocre. Prices are comparable with similar places around town. Food was pretty good,...More

It's an easy walk within the city. We didn't take a tour, we simply followed a map. It's a nice setting in which to enjoy the local food. I don't know if it counts as a "wonderful restaurant" as it's on such a large scale... More
