It is really special to watch the Glockenspiel do it's thing. It is also a great experience to hear all of the church bells in town ring out. This is well worth the time if you are nearby,

On our first day we positioned ourselves in a cafe overlooking the main square so we could have a great view of the glockenspiel. Unfortunately what we didn’t realise was it only comes on at 11am, 12pm & 5pm!
We returned a different day to view this. The building itself is spectacular and we had high expectations… however it was rather underwhelming to say the least. It did make us laugh though how bad it was.
Still worth a look though if you are passing just don’t expect much.

This is a nice clock tower on the Rathuis. Before going make sure you Google when the clock is going to fully chime and move.

The rathaus is a beautiful building and the clocks were fun to watch. We found out that the don't always perform so check in advance..

Make sure you are in front of the building a few minutes before the hour and enjoy the moving figures. It is worth waiting if you need to.

Didnt go inside, not sure if you can. Walked around outside and the building it lovely to look at. Worth a stroll past.

Wander around this historical building then have lunch in the lovley shady outdoor cafe restaurant in the centre courtyard of the builing.

Enormous and spectacular

This building dominates this square in the centre of the city. Inside the internal courtyard you can find restaurants etc. and some exhibition spaces. Not sure if the rest of this building is open to the public.

Amazing building in Marienplatz. Bells make a nice sound. Dancing figures on top look great as well.
