Most amazing views!!! Great snack areas at the end of each ride. The walk from 2nd to 3rd car was not short! Very long & difficult for some. Would have liked more accurate description.

Beautiful views, nice small hikes, awesome (but scary) sky bridge! The clouds pass quickly through so make sure to bring layers even in the summer because it can get chilly and then warm quickly!

This was a fun few hours. We took the Kreuzeckbahn cable car up and then a nice walk ( about 30 min) to the Hochalmbahn cable car up to Alpspitz and then the Alpspitzbahn cable car down. Beautiful views as the skies were blue and...More

We did Alpspitz instead of Zugspite. We never regretted it. Nice restaurant on top of the mountain were to have a drink. Splendid views obviously on a nice cloud free day.

We went when it was foggy but it was still gorgeous. But i do think it's over priced. And listen carefully to instructions regarding coming back down. We forgot them and ended up waking nearly 2 hours down to the next cable cars.. HOWEVER, the...More

We picked Alspitz over Zugspitz during our visit to Bavaria and found it absolute value for money. Purchase the Garmisch classic ticket which entitles you to ride 3 different cable cars and access to the AlpspiX viewing platform which is stunning. Also a great little...More

A trip to the Garmisch area would not be complete without visiting Alpspitz. If you have several days in the area be sure to buy a Zugspitze Card. Once purchased you can take daily trips on the Alpspitz and Kreuzeckweg cablecars. We can take the...More

The scenery is wonderful and the special AlpspiX viewing platform allows you to step out with a vertical drop below of 1000s of metres. Not for any who suffers from vertigo! There are plenty of walking paths that can be enjoyed by anyone with reasonable...More

First of all, go on a clear day, if you can. We went in September and there was snow at the top. We spent about 30-40 minutes there. I would recommend a minimum of 15 minutes, if it is windy, up to 1 hour, if the weather... More
