The Bunker is worth the visit.
Jul 2021
We were not sure what to expect from this place, but after visiting the Eagles Nest, we were still curious to see the bunker. We arrived at 4 pm and there were a few people outside, because there was a sign saying to wait. People told us that you had to book online, but I went inside to ask if we could go in and they said yes (3-4Euros). All of the displays were in German but there were English handouts in each of the sections. If you are not interested in the displays you can go straight to the bunker. There was more there than we expected. Definitely worth the visit.

Unpleasant
Sep 2020
Open hours in Google-maps wrong (open until 5pm), we came at 4:30pm and have been told by an unfriendly individual that the site is closed since 4pm.

Patience. COVID19 rules.
Jul 2020 • Friends
Because of COVID19 rules the waiting lines are long and movement very slow. The center is small so it takes along time before it is your turn. Better watch the www for information. Better and most of all ..... FASTER!

All German
Jul 2020 • Family
All displays are in German and you have to pay extra for an English audio guide . Not great as we had no idea what the displays were about . Disappointed

Definitely recommend a visit if you are interested in World War 2 history. The bunker system was highlight of the visit. Exhibits really well done.

Decided to take the bus here from Salzburg. We found it very easy with a little research, we bought an all day bus pass from the bus 840 bus driver, 10.40 Euro per person. This will cover the 840, then the 838 from the train station to the 'Dokumentation' stop. The bus drivers were very helpful. We ended up spending 3 hours here, found the 3 Euro entrance fee and the 2 Euro audioguide a very reasonable price for the quality of information and exhibits. Definitely leave a little time for the bunker area.

I had to return here
Feb 2020
During my last visit, due to a too short time, I was not able to visit the underground shelters - so I had to return. Well worth a visit, even two!. One should better not, though, come to visit in winter - as then you can't move around too much and experience the whole site where Berghof once stood

Great museum, poor service
Jan 2020
The lady at the counter was very rude - refusing to accept the payment via the card, basically giving you the ultimatum either to pay cash or to go. And then she just threw the tickets at me. Terrible.

I found the centre very interesting. My family came from germany so i had family members fighting for both sides. There are many original documents and heartrending photos. We also went down into the tunnel system which is extensive although still under repair. I recommend a visit here as it is educational and serves as a reminder of the devastation of war
