Long walk up

I walk (800 steps)to the top.(stairs seems to narrow as I got closer to the top) for a breathtaking view of ULM.

This church is beautiful in it's own right, I just can't give it a five star because it is not the most beautiful church I've ever seen. The gothic/neo-gothic architecture is very interesting, and cool to see which parts of the church are older, newer or have been changed. The gift shop is also unique compared to many others I've... Inside it is nicely decorated as most churches are. I visited with the intention of going up to the top. There are 2 sets of stairs (1 going up, 1 coming down) so you don't have to squeeze past anyone. This only changes on the last flight to the very top where it is only one set of steps. Be... More

What a great way to get a workout. The views are beside none and the architecture is very stunning. You can still see where they have to continuously carve stone in order to maintain the church! There's a bird statue on top of the grand hall you can see halfway up the tower. Learn about the story of that bird!... More

It is challenging to climb close to 800 steps all the way to the top. The stairs are very narrow but the view is priceless.

Tallest standing steeple in the world and it's well worth seeing, a huge structure and very impressive architecture. Not to mention Ulm itself, which is a stunningly beautiful town in southern Germany.

This church is beautiful! Based on what I had seen online, I expected the inside of this church to be quite plain. However, there is so much beautiful detail. Unfortunately, it was incredibly foggy when we visited, so we did not climb the tower to the top for the views. This was likely our favorite of the many churches we... More

Again,as with almost all towns along the Danube,Ulm was heavily bombed during the Second World War. The Munster has been restored with great care and much attention to details. The choir especially is worth noting with it's wooden statues. We enjoyed the noon organ concert on Dec.9.

The view at 70 meters was breath-taking. Quite the variety of stained glass windows and religious artifacts throughout the interior.
