We met our guide Oliver Mirkes together with the other 6 or 7 walkers. Yes it is a walking tour up the 400 or so stäffeles (staircases) you find in Stuttgart mostly hidden away. We were with a local friend, but didn't know what exactly to expect. We ventured out up the southern hills of the city and Oliver showed us plenty of places we would have never seen all in connection with plenty of details and history. You should have a reasonable physical fitness (no couch potatoes) as there are about 1500 - 1700 steps to conquer, but you experience Stuttgart from a site you didn't know it exists. It takes the better part of 3 hrs and when you return you have earned your beer and a great experience. I'd recommend this tour to anyone who likes something a bit different from the ordinary or the usual city walking tours…
