I mean, besides the big fat mercedes star on top, the tower doesnt really look like anything. You can´t miss it, but even if you do, you haven´t missed anything

Getting up the tower is worth it becaue you get a good panorama in all directions. Even through the construction sites it is still remarkable. There is an elevator so the access is quite easy. And free! It's one of the oldest buidlings in Stuttgart, surviving WWII. So even only for this it's worth seeing. Currently there is an exposition... More

On arrival, I asked tourist info in the station about getting around Stuttgart, and was recommended to visit the tourist info building just across the street, where I got a 3 day local transport pass for only 13 euro !. This included ability to get to the Mercedes Benz museum and Porsche Museum, along with in and out of the... More

This is a free viewing platform in the heart of Stuttgart located at the top of the main station. It's well worth walking up the narrow spiral staircase to avoid the queues for the lifts! Great view.

At the top of the train station, under the Mercedes sign, is a great viewing area. You can see a good perspective of the city, and it is free to go up there. Definitely worth the visit

Not really a touristic attraction, but is a beautiful building to take some pictures and look at for a couple of minutes.

It is a majestic building with the Mercedes Benz logo rotating on top. There are several stores and restaurants inside also both S bahn and U Bahn train stations.

I understand and accept progress but it would appear they bit off a lot more than they can digest. They have the entire area surrounding the main station under construction. You have to walk on a temporary walkway to get to the trains and it is too narrow to hold the crowds when numerous trains arrive and depart within minutes... More

Massive construction surrounds the station right now but the Project 21 will be terrific when done. For a look at what's going on, go up the tower and browse the various exhibits.

A must see to have a great view over the Bahnhofs Vorplatz and the Königstrasse. You also can have a great look over the construction for the new Bahnhof
