The Jesuit Church of Mannheim is situated close to Schloss Mannheim; it is a good plan to pay a visit to this church after the tour of Schloss Mannheim. The interior of the Jesuit Church is bright and inspiring, but with enough religious art to...More

Very ornate Jesuit church in the city centre - if you like baroque splendour then this is definitely the place - lots of colour and overwhelming in its grandeur.

This church was truly grand! It was full of beautiful sculptures, paintings, and reliefs. The pews were old and worn, but still comfortable. The smell of incense was lingering and there were many nooks for private reflection.

The church is very opulent. There is gold everywhere. The church is within walking distance of the train station and worth the effort. There is no charge to get in.

Somewhere I read that this is the best baroque church in southwestern Germany. Sorry, I don't concur with that opinion. It is nice but not nearly as elaborate as either Weis or Birnau. Not far from the main train station.

This church is tucked in between several buildings so it is not easy to appreciate its full size. However, when you go inside, you forget that you are in a busy city and you are surrounded by beauty, quiet and light. The interior is very...More
