My wife and I were in Germany for holiday from the United States and came across this shop. We paid $950 for a clock on November 10th and paid to have it shipped to the us in USA. It is now February 5th and we still have no clock. Tracking number gets us nothing and all we keep getting told... More

The first thing you notice when you walk in...the place smells like wood. That's a good thing considering they carve their own clocks. I asked for a battery operated clock and I got a 10 minute dissertation as to why those are not made by real craftsman in the Black Forest. If you want one of those you can buy... More

Clock, clocks and more clocks You can actually watch one of the artist carve the details on the wood for the clocks. They also have a trial for the black forest. the waterfall and walking trails. Awesome scenery

When we first arrived to Europe six years ago we came across this store. It was a very detailed tour of the history of clocks and how they are made. At the time could not decide on which clock to go with. Now six years later the store is still owned and operated by the same gentleman. His work is... More

We stopped in the shop to have a look. Someone - Oli I guess - was carving some decorations. He had about a dozen he was doing on one long board. Interesting to watch that he had a handcarved assembly line going.

I have a disability so going upstairs was very difficult. The selection seemed minimal compared to other stores in town and the staff seemed frazzled. The owner was on holiday and apparently he does the engraving so that was unavailable. I just found it a bit unprofessional compared to other stores.

I would ONLY buy a cuckoo clock from Oli's Schnitzstube!!! The full handcrafted ones are on 2nd floor of store. The "tourist/souvenir" clocks are beautiful as well and on the first floor, but remember, not all of the parts come from Germany, many are shipped from other countries. There are so many beautiful clocks here! Great place!

Clocks hand carved on site. Oli is working in the shop and is welcoming and happy to answer questions! The lady who works the shop floor is very knowledgeable. She was always available but never rushed us when we were choosing the perfect clock. These clocks are works of art and the customer service is perfect!

After all the build up this shop was given we were prepared to buy here at any price. We were so shocked to not see any clocks until we were shown upstairs. There were some clocks in 2 rooms but the overwhelming issue was the heavy dark color. It made it hard to even see the clock details. The animals... More
