Allured by the reviews, my husband and I decided to check it out, the price was over 20 euro if I remember correctly and you walk into this basement room and you are escorted into a cave room with ambient lighting. The room smells of salt and its dead quiet in there. There are a bunch of strangers in there... More

It's just near to the Caracalla and is worth experiencing once. I did come out feeling relaxed after spending 45 minutes in a dark room with relaxing music....but I think I would have even if there hadn't been salt on the floor. The lady is very welcoming on reception and friendly. Give it a go....you may love it

I wish that I would have taken the advice of the negative reviews. This place is boring, a tourist trap, and lame. The salt on the ceiling and walls are made of styrofoam. We left after 10 minutes of sitting in a lawn chair placed in salt. I'm embarrassed to say we even went in.

Visited Salina whilst in Baden-Baden and whilst the experience was ok and relaxing I could not say that it was therapeutic in nature. The artificial stellagtites were a but off putting and the whole experience was a bit on the budget side, my opinion. Left relaxed but no other difference but a few euros lighter.

It is advertised as a salt grotto and it is just that. No complaints there. It's just that it is not really a fun way to spend time. You go into the grotto, sit on a reclining beach chair and lie in silence for 45 minutes or however long it was. I'm not sure what part of that is enjoyable.... More

I haven't heard of the salt grotto before, only found out on Tripadvisor. It is just opposite the Caracalla spa and definitely worth a visit (I went twice on the same day and again the morning before I left). Prices are super reasonable compared to all the benefits you get, which are instant. I paid €11 in the morning and... More

Very calming, be prepared to snooze in the calming atmosphere of the salt grotto. The lady working there covered us up in a blanket and said "sleep my babies!" On came the relaxing music, down went the lights and off we went into the most reading slumber. We all felt calm and relaxed afterwards, I would go again and recommend... More

I hadn't heard of the Salt Grotto until just before experiencing it. I thought it was very pleasurable and though I understand that it takes multiple visits to clearly work on extracting toxins ...etc. You end the hour clearly knowing the affects of the Grotto were working. I would recommend this experience and will definitely return.

We visited the Salina not knowing what to expect. I fell into a deep coma of relaxation for an hour. It is an experience that totally relaxed me and was much needed. I recommend the experience fora gone. You cannot stay for more than one hour.

I wanted to experience this salt grotto and it was a wonderful, unusual experience. Research shows that breathing salt air is good for your respiratory system and the salt emits ions which are relaxing. This constructed grotto (it is in the basement of a building) is very well done with salt stalactites hanging from the ceiling and the walls made... More
