The Romans went everywhere and left their mark there. In Lyon, is one of the best amphitheatres I've been lucky enough to see. There's a little Odeon beside it as well as a few other ruins scattered around the compound. At the time of my...More

It will be quite the place to take in a performance. Much of the old Odeon and Amphitheater are still there, although the ruins are quite extensive. They are currently rebuilding it, fusing the old with the new. The views from the seats are great...More

We really enjoyed walking/climbing around the ruins. It is a good workout, no doubt, but great to see and experience. It would have been nice if there were some additional signs/plaques that indicated the different areas and what they were used for.

Very well restored/preserved ruins and the museum - using an audio guide - is great. Take funicular to get to the top.

Impressive structure. Hard to believe so much of it has been kept intact. Took the funicular via Vieux-Lyons metro station. Worth taking the time to visit.
