I dragged my family up La Tournette one sunny August day. We parked a little below the Chalet de l'Aulp where the tarred road turns in to track. I wasn't prepared to risk our car on the track but many did and seemed fine. The extra distance there and back added about 50 minutes to the overall walk. The walk... More

Whether you drive, hike or cycle up here, it's worth it for the views, fresh mountain air and scenery. An easy drive up, no so easy hike/cycle! Well worth the effort, plenty of restaurants, activities to participate in, wonderful hiking and beautiful sorroundings. The menus are nothing exciting but that's not what we went for, so harsh to pass judgement.

Amazing hike up the mountain in mixed weather. Our eurocamp rep Karl guided us brilliantly up it in difficult conditions and dealt with my slight hesitancy on the trickier bits.only do this if you have good shoes, the right kit and are prepared as the weather changes quickly and it is unsupringly much colder and extreme on the summit.thank you... To start with we drove up the winding gravel road to the restaront car park at the top and set of for our hike. We were taken up La Tourette by our eurocamp guide Karl. It is quite a technical hike and I wouldn't recommend it to any inexperienced hikers also do be aware of the temperature on the day... More

Hiking to the top of la Tournette from Montmin is challenging, it took us a 5 hours for the full tour at an easy pace with a few breaks. From the top you are rewarded with incredible views of both lake annecy and Mont Blanc.

We parked near the Refuge du Pre Verel and walked up (about 20 minutes) to the Restaurant Le Chalet de l'Aulp where the trail to La Tournette begins, although you could park at the restaurant, too. The trail up to the Refuge de la Tournette (a 2 - 3 floor enclosed structure mid-way up la Tournette) is easy. An immersive... More

We drove up with the car to La Ferme restaurant, left the car there and then walked up to the parachuting point. You can't drive up to the parachuting point, and if you do you could get a fine. We watched people parachute for a bit, which was great and then walked towards a trail in the parachuting carpark. The... More

A lovely day spent hiking at La Tournette. We drove all the way to the top of the dirt track and parked there. It was worth it for the walking through fields or on the road that it saved us doing. Once your there the view is already amazing, watching the paragliders, listening to the cows and enjoying the mountain... More

The hike and climb to the top is well worth the effort. The views are amazing with the lake on one side and the French Alps on the other. We had clear views across to Mont Blanc. Started at Col Forclaz and hiked to the Chalet Aulp and then on to the top. Beware-there are some tricky passes and also... More
