The entrance fee is very reasonable and includes an audio tour which is very detailed. You then follow the 'yellow submarines' around the museum and play the audio as indicated. It works its way up through the history of ship building to the modern day...More

Visited this with friends during a visit to Toulon. Museum is well laid out with some magnificent old and new models. Displays are in French, English and German and the free audio guide adds a greater dimension to the history.

Interesting museum that informs about the city and the role of the navy throughout the centuries. Most important information is written in french, english and spanish. Free audioguides in several languages.

This was the most interesting naval museum I've visited. The audio guide makes for much more info to be accessible giving historic as well as modern info. Very well arranged.

Today we desired to learn a little about Toulon and found the Maritime museum which filled several hours. We learned about Toulon's role in maritime history and Frances role in development of French world power.

This museum was disappointingly average. This made the €6 entrance charge feel expensive. Maybe its better for a rainy day visit.

This place is as the most part of museum full of history, here you will see a lot of Boat models (like 50) nicely preserved, if you are passionate by old boat it's the place for you!!!
