Go and see it and be humbled. This is almost 2000 years old. It would have been across the road originally but what with modern traffic they have put a roundabout around it (very sensible thing to do) in order to protect the monument.

Interesting archway that is in the middle of a traffic roundabout currently being the subject of road works. a short walk to the edge of town. Go look if you are there

On arriving in Orange decided to have an explore walk and was amazed to find this by accident! Was not sure how old it was but found out later really old!!

After our visit to the theatre, and a it of lunch, we walked to the triumphal arch that celebrates a victory of Ceaser's in 37bc. Well worth a visit.

A small Roman version of the arc de triomphe, set in the middle of a round about. Worth driving by for a few snapshots. Not really worth spending a lot of time here.

On a boiling hot day - and having hiked all over the Roman Theatre - I very nearly gave this a miss. Boy, what a mistake that would have been. You have to get up close to realise just how big this is; possibly bigger...More

A truly beautifully preserved Roman Arch. Very imposing to behold and amazing to think it has played all this time. It also goes to show the size of the city in Roman times as it is a km and a half from the amphitheatre!

The real door of the city, this is one of the most beautiful roman arches all around the old empire. The surroundings are being renewed in order to clean them and make the visit more enjoyable. Try to avoid the central hours of the day.
