This historic part of Nice feels like a medieval village with narrow streets curving between old buildings with red-tile roofs, small restaurants and open-markets.

It’s a great maze of streets with any type of shop you can imagine. Dozens of places to eat and drink as well, however, not real easy to find a French restaurant, Italian, no shortage there. You can easily spend several hours there.

A myriad of quaint shops bars and restaurants. Little back streets full of unusual and individual shops. Easy to get a bit lost but that all adds to the enjoyment of discovery!

You can't go to Nice without a visit to Vieille Ville - it is beautiful and full or atmosphere. My best advice is just to go in without a map and lose yourself in the labyrinth of alleys and tightly packed streets. You'll find shops,...More

The people, shops, atmosphere.... it was wonderful! My teenage daughter and I wandered through the streets and were just swept away by the hospitality and beauty of this place. I wish we had stayed longer!

We love to stroll along the streets in the old town. Loads of places to eat and drink and buy local produce. All well priced and good value. Simply stunning wee streets and a must to see when in Nice!

We rented an apt in Vieille Ville based on recommendation and now I definitely recommend to others that they do the same! Even though you are in Nice and surrounded by beauty and calm, Vieille Ville is a town within a town. The little shops,...More

Take your time and walk the old town. Really enjoyed our time here shows the progression of the city over the centuries. Nice shops old and new to spend your Euro’s.

Really fun place to porter around any time of the day, especially if you enjoy bars and people watching. Definitely stay here if you can, its small and quickly feels familiar.

Allow yourself to get lost in the old city. There are a lot of quant restaurants and gelaterias to distract you. Easy to navigate but better when you do not have a plan.

Beautiful both by day and at night. Many places to eat and shop. Very much enjoyed exploring the narrow streets.

Sorry for the delay. It was chilly when we were there the first part of May. So I'm sure it would be cold during your time frame. Would suggest looking at average weather temps online. Jacket, scarf and pants were needed. We... More
