We cheated and came here as part of the Petit Train ride. We had seen the walk up previously and found it a bit daunting so if you have mobility issues please be warned. The views are extraordinary and there is a shop and cafe. It's brilliant!!

Went up here after walking through the market place in Nice. Took the lift to the top and began our walk. Wonderful views over the city, the beaches and the port on the western side. We loved the gardens and park as well as the ruins of the fortress and chirch that were there. The cascades on the western sidewere... More

A wonderful view in a well kept park, easily accessible via the lift. You see all sides of the central town and the sea of course, it is worth taking note of what was once here, a great fort, note the church ruin. A good place for a pick nic and to bring younger kids who can play here.

A great place to view Nice Town and surrounding area. Best in the morning or evening when not too hot although there are a few shady places. It's a the end of the old town towards the port. Good place for contemplation. It's high up and dry so don't go expecting great flora. Well worth it.

I climbed this hill in the rain (there is a lift as well). Great views of the city from all sides, and a nice park to wander around. It's not hugely well signposted, but easy to find your bearings.

We enjoyed our visit to Castle Hill ono the petit train. The stop was long enough for panoramic photos. On another occasion, we would have stayed longer, explored the archaeology/history a little more and walked back down into town.

There are a couple of trails to get to the top of the hill, all are not too challenging. You'll have nice views over beach and port side of nice. There's also a children's play area for families to enjoy.
