Excellent museum - visitor friendly, especially if you are English speaking. We visited the top 10 attractions in NIce and this was the only museum that had sufficient English translations to make a visit really enjoyable.

In addition to the usual elaborate interiors of a Palace there are many, many interesting musical instruments on display. The staff was extremely helpful and took great pride in sharing information with us.

Nice site but requires urgently a renovation. No airco, looks dirty, not maintained. Pity because it is an interesting museum.

This came as a freebie with our Contemporary Art Museum ticket. It was worth the stop! Second largest collection of musical instruments in France, impressive ceiling art, and a jump back in time with portraits and furniture.
