Worth the climb

Nietzsche Path is a cactus garden with magnificent view. Price is 4-6€, depending on season. Take the climb, it's worth it if already visiting Eze Village.

We caught the bus from Nice to Eze, had a lovely lunch at L' Alchimie, explored the village and the cactus and sculpture garden and then walked down the hill via this path to Eze sur mer, where we were able to catch the train home again. It was a great downhill walk, that started on an easy path but... More

It's a wonderful walk from Eze Village to Eze Bord de Mer but is very steep so you need to be fit if walking up to Eze Village. There is a bus up to Eze Village so take the bus and then walk down!

I did this walk in the downwards direction in 1 hour 10 minutes, including water and photo breaks, and not hurrying at all. It was a pleasant sunny day in early October (probably about 25 C) and I was very glad of my hat and water bottle. I enjoyed the walk. It was quite peaceful with great views, after you... More

Be prepared to break a sweat if you start the walk from the bottom of Eze (train station). We took plenty of rest and got to the top in an hour. A great 1/2 day trip from Nice.

We took the trail on the way down from the old town of Eze and I cannot say that it was difficult but you will need a good pair of shoes and you do have to be in relatively good shape.

Interesting idea, but the path isn't scenic at all. You can walk a few feet down to a viewing platform with an information sign, but no need going further unless you're just wanting exercise.

I thought this would be much easier since I hike a lot. It took 35-45min to get up from the train station (Eze). Rocky with steps. We were all sweating, even though it was cloudy and 60F out. For access, take a right out of the train station, walk a block, and look for the sign across the street. Bring... More

Get off the beaten path & visit this place ... you won't regret it. Looks a tad like the old southwest (USA) ... but it is sitting atop the French Riviera ... truly a must see.

This is awesome for glutes, quads and calves. Can totally skip gym today. Better to go solo, as you'll look like a soggy dog from about 5 mins in. Hike is up up up, but pain equals progress. Your reward is the amazing view at the top. Takes about 50-60 mins but never mind that - just pump and power... More
