A bit damp and windy so the top level was shut off but a nice way to spend a couple of hours. Would be good to see more historical bits rather than some of the artwork but we enjoyed our visit.

Château Grimaldi at Cagnes-sur-Mer is a must see historical landmark. I drove then parked at ‘Parking Le Planastel’ (Rue du Planastel, 06800 Cagnes-sur-Mer); the fees are very reasonable. From the parking location it is a very easy walk into the château. By visiting in December,...More

A visit off season can add to the charms of this museum and its location. Standing proud in old Cagnes village overlooking Cagnes sur mer and the med sea, the lack of a tourist invasion to the fortified building allows you to wander gently and...More

Bought a combined ticket for the Chateau Grimaldi in Cagnes-sur-Mer old town (get the free shuttle if you don’t want to climb up the steep hill) and Renoir’s house (cost €8). Well worth visiting both places. Great views from the top of Chateau Grimaldi and...More

A very reasonable entry price, an amazing 4/5 storey building crammed full of modern art, capped by a tower with the most incredible 360 degree views of the surrounding area, well worth a visit. Parking can be tricky unless you arrive very early or out...More

Visiting the Bourg medieval is a return in the past. The end of the walk takes you to Chateau Grimaldi with magnificent views. Only 15 mns away by bus from the coast. At Haut de Cagnes, take the free shuttle to the medieval village. Well...More

We easily spent an hour here. The terrace Anne is worth the admission and the climb. The art in contemporary, and very modern. There is an interesting collection of portraits of Suzy Solidor. The family history of the Grimaldi's is also on display.

Too much emphasis on Art and Suzy Solidor. The few historical exhibits were fascinating and these should be developed and extended to encapsulate the wider local history and the influence of the Grimaldis .
