It's interesting place to visit due to its history and very nice view. From the top you will see the port, big part of the city and nice. When the weather is good, you can see Italian coast. The fort was built in 16th century and was important due to its location - close to Italy. About 200 soldiers permanently... More

Plan to visit as early as possible. Place closes at 5:30pm and gets really dark at night. It's about a 30 min walk from the train station.

This historical site is a short walk away from Vielle Antibes and has magnificent views. It is also a really cheap attraction. Getting to the entrance is quite difficult since its not well signposted and it appears as though you can't enter, as the ticketing office is in the corner where you can't see it. As a result, we spent... More

Not one of the most spectacular forts in Europe, this fort above Antibes is fairly plain with a long history including imprisonment of Napoleon during the French Revolution. A short, guided tour of the fort is okay, the views of the harbor and surrounding area are very nice.

The fort itself is worth a quick visit and afterwards you can stroll around in the small park that surrounds it. The visits of the fort are always accompanied by a guide.

You can take envibus #14 and get off at the Fort parking, where the bus turns around. With only 3EUR it is definitely worth a visit. I waited for a guide who could do "English" tour along with French and really enjoyed this informative tour of Fort Carre. It might be a challenge for people with limited mobility/disability as it... Fort Carre is an inexpensive (3 Euro) tour, which gives wonderful views over the Port Auban and the surrounding countryside. Our tour guide spoke French and English, but I believe this isn't always the case. Port Auban is the biggest marina in Europe and gets the biggest boats and is also worth a walk around in it's own right. Worth... More

Went here with my friends and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. It is by no means the best tour I have been on but it was informative and the views were amazing, especially as my friend is a photographer. I have been many times over the years as something to pass the time. Good!

great fort. Nice to get a tour and see the different functions. Napoleon stayed here and you have nice views on the city, the water, nice, etc.
